Ramadhan SPEAK (Sharing Perspective English And Kareem) : “Digital Ethic:The Impact of Cyberbullying”

The Student Association of the English Education Department (SAEED) successfully hosted the Ramadhan SPEAK (Sharing Perspective, English, and Kareem) event on Thursday, March 5th 2026. Held at the Campus 3 Mosque of UIN Salatiga, the event carried the theme "Digital Ethics: The Impact of Cyberbullying".It was attended by students from various study programs and invited delegates who actively participated throughout the session.


Prior to the main event, the organizing committee held a Khatm (complete recitation) of the Qur'an as a form of spiritual reflection to welcome the holy month of Ramadhan. The formal proceedings officially commenced at 4:00 PM,moderated by Firza Rizqi Bahtiar. The atmosphere became profoundly solemn following a beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Al Muhtade Billah, which set a respectful tone for the afternoon.

by a speech from Mrs. Rr. Dewi Wahyu Mustikasari, S.S., M.Pd., Ph.D., Head of the English Education Department. In her remarks, she expressed her deepest appreciation and gratitude to all attendees and invited guests for their presence and support.

                          

Next, the moderator introduced the keynote speaker, Mrs. Rina Asih Handayani, M.Pd.I, who delivered the main lecture on digital ethics and the dangers of cyberbullying from an Islamic perspective. She provided essential education, particularly for Gen Z and adults who interact with minors. She urged victims to remain calm when facing bullying and emphasized the importance of reporting to authorities if the situation becomes dangerous. In her lecture, she also noted that a victim of bullying could potentially become a perpetrator themselve

Following the presentation, the event continued with an interactive Q&A session where participants raised questions regarding various cases of bullying and cyberbullying. The program concluded with a closing prayer led by Mrs. Rina Asih Handayani, M.Pd.I, followed by the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to the keynote speaker. The event ended with a group photo session, Iftar (breaking of the fast), a congregational Maghrib prayer, and the distribution of meals and refreshments to all attendees.

Overall, the event was conducted successfully and is expected to provide a positive impact and new awareness for students to interact in the digital world wisely and ethically.This event report is compliled as official documation of  Ramadhan SPEAK 2026.
