Scholarship Preparation and Resume Knowledge (SPARK) 2025: “Profiling Yourself Through Your Essay.”
Salatiga, June 3rd 2025, Student Association of English Education Department (SAEED) organized an event titled Scholarship Preparation and Resume Knowledge (SPARK), themed “Profiling Yourself Through Your Essay.” The event was held in the meeting room on the 3rd floor of the K.H. Ahmad Dahlan Auditorium, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FTIK).
The workshop aimed to
equip students with the skills and strategies needed to craft compelling
scholarship essays and build effective resumes, helping them present their
personal, academic, and professional strengths more confidently.
The event commenced with
Syahdan Maulana Al Farizy and Shelyn Grace Bawenti Barahama serving as the Master
of Ceremonies. This was followed by opening remarks from the Chair of SPARK
2025, the President of the Student Association of the English Education
Department (SAEED) 2025, and the head of the English Education Department.
As part of the celebration
of the 28th anniversary of the English Education Department a traditional potong
tumpeng ceremony was held to symbolize gratitude and unity. The ceremony
was led by Mrs. RR. Dewi Wahyu Mustikasari, Ph.d., Head of the Department,
accompanied by Mr. Guntur Cahyono, M.Pd., from the academic faculty.
The event also featured a captivating dance performance by students from the English Art Club, showcasing their talent and adding a vibrant touch to the celebration.
The workshop was led by
the distinguished speaker Mr. Surya Agung Wijaya, M.Hum., and moderated by
Nazbudin Zaki, S.Pd. The event was attended by students from the Faculty of
Education and Teacher Training at UIN Salatiga, as well as enthusiastic
delegates from Universitas Ngudi Waluyo, Universitas Wahid Hasyim, Universitas
Islam Negeri Walisongo, and Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana.
Throughout the workshop,
participants had the opportunity to gain foundational knowledge and practical
strategies for building effective resumes. The session also helped them learn
how to confidently showcase their personal, academic, and
professional strengths.
Following the speaker’s presentation, a
Q&A session was held where delegates had the opportunity to ask questions,
which the speaker thoughtfully addressed.
Finally, all participants
gathered for a group photo capturing the spirit and
camaraderie of the event.
