Salatiga, on Thursday, October 14, 2024, the English Education Department (EED) successfully held an Artificial Intelligence Assisted Language Learning and Assessment Seminar which was held in the auditorium on the 3rd floor of FTIK Campus 3, UIN Salatiga, This seminar began with two remarks, the first speech from the chairwoman of the committee, Mrs. Win Listyaningrum Arifin M.A. representating the new head of the English Education Department (EED) 2024/2028, Mrs. Rr. Dewi Wahyu Mustikasari Dr., S.S, M.Pd. the second speech was given by the vice dean Mrs. Dr. Maslikhah, M.si The event was attended by the participants and the seminar committee. After the speeches was, the mc opened the next session, which is the much-awaited session, the delivery of material.

By bringing in Mr. Dr. Toar Sumakaul, M.A. and Mr. Muhammad Nuryanto, M.Pd as speakers and moderators. This seminar was moderated by Muhammad Nuryanto, M.Pd with the reading of the presenter's CV, Mr. Dr. Toar Sumakaul, M.A. Mr. Dr. Toar Sumakaul, M.A. conveyed his experience about what AI is and its development. Then during his delivery he gave tips and important tips in the right steps for the use of AI so that we can operate Ai properly, not even ourselves who are used by this AI. He also said that using AI is okay and sometimes even very necessary and very helpful in solving existing problems so that we don't get caught up in using it.
So Mr. Dr. Toar Sumakaul, M.A. emphasized that AI is just a tool. So use it to help us. With this, we are reminded that we must be selective in doing things and not to become dependent or rely too often on this AI in doing everything such as assignments, and this also reminds everyone and students that in their work they do not only copy and paste answers from AI but use AI only as a support in their work. With the delivery of interactive presentations given, he made the material presented more interesting and entertaining.

After the material delivery session was over, the moderator now opened a QnA session for the participants. All sessions went well and were conducive, both participants and presenters gave good feedback, participants gave their full attention and while the presenters delivered the material well and interactively. And after the QnA session was closed by the moderator, the seminar was closed with a session. After the tumpeng cutting session, the event was held with a group photo, the handing over of certificates and gifts by the chairman of the committee to the presenters.
