Introduction of Academic and Student Culture of English Education Department (PBAK PRODI)

 

Salatiga, Wednesday 21 August 2024, the Student Association of English Education Department (SAEED) 2024 performed an Introduction of Academic and Student Culture of English Education Department (PBAK PRODI) which was attended by 80 students in the classroom on the 2nd floor of the 207 room of KH. Achmad Dahlan building, campus 3, UIN Salatiga with the theme “Self-Reflection as a key to be Competitive, Creative and Progessive Student.

PBAK PRODI is a compulsory activity carried out by students along the way to acknowledge academic culture in order to obtain supplies to conduct public education. PBAK PRODI is implemented after PBAK Fakultas and its activities are included in the schedule or activities of the faculty.

PBAK PRODI was opened and welcomed by Mr. Dr. Hanung Triyoko, S.S., M. Hum., M.Ed. Warm welcome and encouragement were conveyed to boost the confidence of new students in the world of academia, along with an outline of the learning curriculum to prepare them for their upcoming college experience.

PBAK PRODI begins with an exchange of prizes by PBAK PRODI participants guided by the Master of Ceremony brother Muhammad Pandu Rizqilah and sister Luthfiyyah Sri Muliyaningsih after the exchange it is presented with the opening and reading the sequence of activities by Master of Ceremony. The opening began with the singing of the Indonesian and the mars of UIN Salatiga guaided by sister Alfinnaja Nuriyata Zahrok. Then continued with the reading of the sacred verse of the Qur’an by brother Naufal Ihsanudin Hadyan then presented with a greeting-welcome from chairwoman of the committee sister Fika Febriana and the general chairwoman of the Association of English Education Department sister Rizka Arifatul Ulya continued with the welcome and introduction of curriculum and the world environment of lectures by head of the English Education Department Mr. Dr. Hanung Triyoko, S.S, M. Hum, M. Ed.

KKI Experience

Material Experience

In this year’s PBAK PRODI, the special guest arrival from International Class Program (KKI) his Mr. Miftachudin, MA. He passed on the excellence of being KKI. KKI is special program desigmed to encourage students to be able to compete globally and internationally. In this special class, Students are invited to test their ability in language and processing materials. In order to be able to participate in this program there are certain procedures that must be followed and for the registration process can be seen on the official website of KKI. And some of the excellence of being a KKI student where lectures are not only the first to study in the classroom but can build relationships outside our scope and comfort zone.

After the reception and introduction KKI continued with the talkshow that will be moderated by Ms. Maratun Solichah, S.Pd with the special speaker Mrs. Marisa Fran Lina, M.Pd who is also an english lecture at UIN Salatiga. The talkshow in this time started ice breaking by our Mrs. Marisa Fran Lina, M.Pd to remove drowsiness and restore the spirit of the PBAK PRODI participant.

In this talkshow Mrs. Marisa Fran Lina conveyed introduction to English Education Department and brief explanation of courses, learning methods, and academic culture of English Education Department and tips and tricks to be competitive, creative, and progessive student. The material presented is presented with Power Point and explained by Mrs. Marisa Fran Lina, M. Pd clearly and easily understood. The introduction of the new environment and the culture shock that will be experienced by the new student can be minimized and the cultivation of convidence in the spirit of living a normal classroom world will be easy and have no problem that means unless by itself due to lack of will and confidence.

After the talkshow was closed by the moderator, an the event was returned to Master of Ceremony, the event continued with the certificate handing by the moderator to the Mrs. Marisa Fran Lina, M.Pd, then the certificates handed over to the moderate by the committee, to the Ms. Maratun Solichah, S.Pd.

Following the submission of the certificate of video profile Student Association English Education Department. In the video is shown the profile of the daily management that exist at Student Association English Education Department. After the video playback the event was closed by Master of Ceremony with a joint prayer and continued to open the exchanged prize before the event closed by master of ceremony.
