Shcolarship Seminar 2024

 

Salatiga, on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, the Student Association of English Education Department (SAEED) successfully organized the Scholarship Seminar with the theme "Diving Into International Scholarships: Preparation and Tips for Global Scholarship Seekers" held at the 3rd-floor auditorium of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty Campus 3, UIN Salatiga. The seminar commenced with three speeches, starting with the opening speech by Rizka Arifatul Ulya as the chief of Student Association of English Education Department 2024 (SAEED), followed by the second speech by the committee chairworman, Katrine Ananda Sardiyosa, and the closing speech by Dr. Maslikhah, M.Si., attended by participants and the SAEED 2024 committee. Following the speeches' conclusion, the MC proceeded to the next session, featuring a regional dance performance presented by EAC Javanese Dance.

Guest speakers Mr. Miftachudin S.Pd.I., M.A. and Mr. Muhammad Nazil Iqdami S.Pd.I., M.Ed. were invited to speak. The seminar began with the moderator, Mr. Dodi Suryanto S.Pd., presenting the speakers' CVs. Mr. Miftachudin S.Pd.I., M.A. shared his experiences studying abroad and traveling across Indonesia, providing comprehensive information on preparing for international scholarships. He also offered valuable motivation for studying abroad, including examples of scholarship programs such as LPDP. The session continued with Mr. Muhammad Nazil Iqdami S.Pd.I., M.Ed., who shared essential tips and correct steps for applying for scholarships abroad, delivering an interactive presentation to engage the audience effectively.

After the presentation sessions, the moderator opened the floor for a Q&A session with the participants. The sessions proceeded smoothly and harmoniously, with both participants and speakers responding well. The participants attentively listened, while the speakers delivered their content effectively and interactively. The Q&A session concluded, followed by the seminar's closure with a potong tumpeng ceremony lead by Dr. Hanung Triyoko S.S., M.Hum., M.Ed., as the head of the English Education Department . The ceremony began with a speech and prayer before the tumpeng cutting ceremony. As the potong tumpeng concluded, the event ended with a group photo, certificate distribution, and gifts presented by the committee chairwoman to the speakers."
