English Ramadhan In Campus

    "Are we familiar with the Quran?" asked Mr. Ruwandi during ERIC (English Ramadhan In Campus). ERIC is one of the work programs of SAEED (Student Association of English Education Department) which was held on March 25, 2024 in Salatiga. The event took place on the third floor of the Ahmad Dahlan building on the campus of UIN Salatiga starting at three o'clock in the afternoon until it was time to break the fast. ERIC went smoothly and was enlivened by participants from various study programs and delegations, they came with polite Muslim clothes and according to Islamic teachings.

    English Ramadhan In Campus or more commonly called ERIC is an annual agenda held during the holy month of Ramadan. This year ERIC was held with the theme "Making Creative, Islamic and Outstanding young generation". ERIC itself has 4 main agendas, namely muqoddaman Al-Quran, seminar (Islamic studies) with Mr. Ruwandi, ngabuburit with SAEED, and Iftar together. Not only that, ERIC also provides benefits in the form of knowledge, certificates, E-notes, and of course iftar food.

    ERIC began at 15.00 and was formally led by Arya Sanishara Nanda Setiawan and Sinta Mutiara Sani as Master of Ceremony. After that, the event began with the recitation of the holy Quran by Rofiqhoh. Then, singing the Indonesia Raya Song and the Mars of UIN Salatiga led by Nabila Nihayatul Fajriyah. The first speech began at 15.20 by May Mumtaz as the chairman of the ERIC event committee. She expressed her gratitude to all the organizers and participants who were able to attend the event. Next was the second speech by Rizka Arifatul Ulya as the general chairman. 

    She expressed her gratitude and thanks because the ERIC event this time could run smoothly without any obstacles. And the last speech was delivered by the head of Tadris English study program, Mr. Hanung Triyoko. He was very grateful to all the organizers and all the participants who enlivened the ERIC event this year. Not only that, he also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ruwandi who was willing to attend and fill the Islamic study seminar in the English Ramadhan In Campuss event.

After that, the event continued with a prayer led by Hafif Ramadhani Sriwikrama. The prayer lasted solemnly until 15.50.

    At 15.55 Mc formal read out the CV of the Moderator, Luqita Malikul Haq in the seminar agenda. Then, the Moderator read the CV of the speaker, Mr. Ruwandi, MA. Mr. Ruwandi is known as a pleasant lecturer as the lecturer of Phonetics. On this occasion, he delivered an Islamic study with the title "Qur'an: Have we gotten along with?". He mentioned many things related to the glory of the Qur'an and the virtue of reading it, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.

    "Even he with all his shortcomings is able, then ... what about us who are given perfection by Allah swt?" the rhetorical question was delivered by Mr. Ruwandi after he told a story about a child who was able to memorize the complete Qur'an along with the sheet, page, and the position of the verse even though the child has cerebral palsy . And from this, it can be concluded that nothing can hinder a person's willingness to worship other than his own unwillingness.

    After the Islamic study was completed by Mr. Ruwandi, the event continued on the QnA agenda, or questions and answers between participants and presenters. Questions arose one after another from the participants. Mr. Ruwandi was happy to provide straightforward, clear, and detailed answers.

The ERIC event was closed at 5:30 pm with a group photo before the event ended with breaking the fast together at UIN Salatiga campus.
